Letter 1899 Aug 7, New York City [to] Anna Catherine Markham, Oakland, California / Edwin Markham. 1899.

Edwin has sent a copy of this letter to Anna. I don't know who it went to originally. It discusses a package of photos from a Dr. G of San francisco addressed to him in care of Doubleday & McClure company never reached its destination. Mr Doubleday wishes copies and he wants as much history of the poem as possible. He thinks that Dr. G may have not sent all the proofs and had forgotten. He also made arrangements with the McClure Lecture Bureau for lectures and discusses money. He's not returning to Oakland. He wants the person he is writing this letter to, to speak to Mr. McClymonds. He has sold a poem Dreyfus to McClure's for $100, he continues about money, and writing. This letter is in c/o F.H. Johnston and he refers to a letter that Anna wrote McArthur.
